Silver Dust take Europe with tour

You might recall the name Silver Dust after Jace Media’s coverage of their debut tour with Finnish monster rockers Lordi in November where they filled the role of support band with outstanding panache; and again in January, when I attended their homecoming concert in Tavannes, Switzerland. If you do recall the name, you might also recall my advice – which was to check out this up-and-coming band before they became too hot to handle. Well, that time is nigh, my friends.

Only four months since the tour with Lordi, Silver Dust announced on March 28th that they have now signed a distribution deal with Soulfood Music to release their 2016 studio album ‘Age of Decadence’ to all European markets. Not only that, they have also signed with Berlin management agency DKX Vision and the German label Fastball Music who will be taking care of the European promotion of the band and their albums. They will however still remain signed with Escudero Records in their home country of Switzerland to take care of their domestic sales and promotion.

Not only is the phenomenal ‘Age of Decadence’ about to get the recognition it deserves in Europe, the band are also embarking on another European tour starting in April through to August, before retiring to the studio in Q4 of 2017 to record their as-yet-untitled third studio album – which is due out around March 2018.

Silver Dust can be caught on tour from April in Austria, Italy, France and Switzerland; with further dates and festivals in Germany, Czech Republic, Slovakia and Poland to be announced shortly.

There is no word yet for any dates in the UK, but the band are working on it as I type this. In a recent interview with Berlin magazine Cute and Dangerous, frontman Lord Campbell revealed his fondness for the UK, and that some of his favourite shows of the tour with Lordi took place on our shores. After I briefly pinned down the man himself, he confirmed to me the same sentiment – it would be perfect for them to return to the UK. On my trip in January, he confirmed to me that the band had experience a lot of fun in the UK, having been deeply moved by the energetic audiences that had enjoyed every moment of their shows, and received them very well. The UK is definitely on their list of countries to return to once they finalise some venues, so let us hope and pray that the band can back to us soon, as I for one know they will be very well received once again.
