Leaves Eyes Sign Of The Dragonhead

Leaves Eyes are hailed as one of the best symphonic metal bands out there. Formed back in 2003 this five piece German Norwegian band are the historians of Viking and Norse folklore; every song telling a different story with the beautiful vocals of newly appointed Elina Slirala and the melodic guitars of Thorston Bauer and Pete Streit with accompanying vocalist and death growler Alexander Krull and on drums Joris Nijenhuis. You never know what you are going to hear next, sometimes celtic folk other times operatic and many times power Viking metal, but everything delivered with skill and panache. In 2016 they parted company with original singer and co-founder member Liv Kristine but Elina is proving to be a charismatic front woman and is a big hit with the Leaves fans, hearing her vocal power and angelic tones I can see why. Dragonhead is now their seventh album continuing the Viking story and they are playing one UK show at Tufnell Park, North London on 28th April, with supports from Mayan and Almanac. If you’re a fan of the likes of Children of Bodom or Turisas set your sails London bound you’re in for a great night.
