Rose Tattoo @ SWG3, Glasgow

Rose Tattoo @ SWG3, Glasgow The Rock,n,Roll outlaws returned to Glasgow after a very lengthy absence, they packed out this relatively new venue and blew away a mostly elderly crowd. Girlschool are support for this small tour and they were a perfect addition as the bands have been treading the boards and playing the same venues for a long time. Unfortunately for me the ridiculously early start time meant I missed nearly all of their set. To be fair I am not sure that this was a bad thing as their sound was awful and my first taste of this venue was not great. Let me take you back a bit, Rose Tattoo started in 1976 with their debut...

Bad Touch – Shake A Leg I will start this review with a fact, Bad Touch are one of the best live bands the UK has to offer. They have toured every town across this island in search of their dream. It grinds my gears when I think that the band have been on the go for nine years and I...

HRH Sleaze O2 Arena Sheffield 2/09/18. Day Two

HRH Sleaze O2 Arena Sheffield 2/09/18. Day Two My plan today was getting all my interviews done early so I could see more bands play. There were a few early acoustic sets in stage two again for the lucky VIP’s and press, the first to play were Falling Red. I had reviewed their brilliant album Lost Souls earlier in the year so knew what was to come, but I was interested to see how their style sounded acoustically, let me say it sounded pretty good to me and the medium crowd enjoyed what they did too, they were on the big stage later in the evening and I heard whispers in the crowd that they were looking forward to it. Next were...

Darkness Divine – Pr...

Darkness Divine – Prelude I know for a fact not many of you will have heard the name Darkness Divine and I do not blame you as the band is not even one year old yet. I found the band as support recently in Glasgow and they were very impressive. Glasgow has a lot of great bands but this...

Nathan James @ Hard Rock Cafe Glasgow

Nathan James @ Hard Rock Cafe Glasgow Shock City productions pulled another cracker out of the bag with the voice of Inglorious, Trans-Siberian Orchestra and War of the Worlds brought to Glasgow for an intimate Q & A and an acoustic set. Before we got to hear one of the most powerful voices in Rock today we got the no small matter of an acoustic set from one of Glasgow’s favourite bands Anchor Lane. This band have been ripping up the festival scene over the summer and jumped at the chance to go unplugged for this one. I was just as excited to see this set as I was the headliner as I have witnessed these boys many times but never...

Hard Rock Hell Sleaze O2 Sheffield 1st/2nd Septemb...

Hard Rock Hell Sleaze O2 Sheffield 1st/2nd August 2018. Day ONE After previously playing a special event for HRH on the Friday night and a small acoustic set to start today off on stage 2, you would have thought that these boys would have been exhausted. But this is the Idol Dead we are talking about and they don’t do tired, these five guys from Leeds have enough energy between them to power the national grid. Amassing a huge fan base called the Idol Army over their ten years together it looked like half of them were in the hall, it was rammed to the rafters and not surprising if you have ever seen them before: lead singer Polly...
