King King\ Bad Touch @ 02 ABC, Glasgow May12

King King\ Bad Touch @ 02 ABC, Glasgow

King King\ Bad Touch @ 02 ABC, Glasgow King King seem to bring the sun to Scotland. Almost a year to the day they strolled into Glasgow, the sun streaming in the sky and they left having wrapped up a blistering performance that was captured for all eternity on the King King live CD…the boys had some feat to overshadow that so how did they do? But before we get to the headliners we had probably the hardest touring band in the UK…who just happen to be awesome in their own right. Yes, Bad Touch were back in town. They are no strangers to Scotland with the last gig less than two months ago as they co headlined with Broken...

Glasgow’s Mason Hill are hot property right ...

Glasgow’s Mason Hill are hot property right now. From appearing on The Rising Stage at Ramblin’ Man Fair to winning Hard Rock Hell’s ‘Highway To Hell’ UK battle of the bands competition – this is a group very much in demand! The Scottish quintet’s blend of Classic meets Modern Hard Rock results in a batch of uncompromising riffs accompanied by anthemic sing along choruses and stadium friendly ballads. Their high energy live shows impress wherever they play, and they display the swagger and confidence of a band that has being doing it for twentysome years. In 2008 two school friends,...

Stoneface @ The Cathouse, Glasgow May02

Stoneface @ The Cathouse, Glasgow

Stoneface @ The Cathouse, Glasgow I have been looking forward to this one for some time. The boys(did I really just call them boys?) have done the hard graft in this business for a long time and due to that you never get an under par performance. Before we got to the headliners there were a couple of support bands tonight which had to be whipped up quickly as the previously booked bands couldn’t make it or just decided Glasgow was far too scary so decided to break up before this show. Unfortunately I only caught the openers as they finished off their set so I am afraid I cannot comment on Black King Kobra who had only performed a few...

Marvellous Mo and the Back Line Ferrets

Marvellous Mo and the Back Line Ferrets A Brief Glimpse into the history of… Four years ago, a group of six friends, all with a lifelong interest in music, got together to play as a one-off gig at a charity function. That one-off was the start of an ever-growing list of dates and venues, and including repeats now means that from a creditable twelve gigs in first year to now at least thirty… and the number is rising. Although primarily based in the Sittingbourne area of Kent they cover most of the county, they have been seen even further afield, notably the north of the country and even in Scotland, and there is even a rumour that...

Live Review: – The Darkness @ the Groovin’ Festival in Adelaide Photos: Maddi Baj and Review by Kirsten Grant: – Groovin’ the Moo is a festival that got its name because it started out in the rural paddocks across Australia until this year where it’s being held a stone’s throw from the Adelaide CBD. It’s eclectic and over the years we’ve all had the opportunity to hear some music that we wouldn’t normally get a chance to at the same gig. Don’t like Wolfmother then give it a couple of minutes before we get some Northlane and then some Hilltop Hoods. A good crowd of about 18,000 are anticipating the arrival of The Darkness....

It’s eclectic and over the years we’ve all had the opportunity to hear some music that we wouldn’t normally get a chance to at the same gig. This is the reason I’m reviewing the Architects and The Wombats side by side, is to pay homage to this festival, which manages to bring together all sorts of genres. The Wombats...
